At the WABE Fall Institute you will find sessions related to our theme "Si Se Puede, Yes We Can"

  • We can integrate content learning and language development through the use of formative assessment practices, project-based learning, and intentional language routines.

  • We can apply WIDA standards and assessments into our instructional design cycle to include pre-assessment, instructional planning and delivery, evaluation and reflection. 

  • We can provide scaffolds to ensure comprehensible input and scaffolded language output.

This workshop provides experiencing and engaging with Integrating WIDA standards through intentional planning and delivery of language across content areas. The process of planning and delivering language routines within an instructional repertoire allows for students to access and learn the language needed Key Language Use for the purpose of elevating and activate language and learning.

This session is for general education teachers, coaches and specialists supporting co-planning and co- teaching.
